ABOUT stabicraft boats.
Stabicraft’s founding moment was in 1987 with the invention of the world’s first Aluminium Positive Buoyancy Chambered boat. What started as two guys drawing on the back of an envelope is now a team of industrial designers working around the clock on new product developments.
The unique Life Ring Protection comes from individually sealed air and water-tight aluminium chambers that wrap right around the hull. For a boat to be filled with water and remain on the surface is an incomparable safety feature – and one that has inspired three decades of boaties to Adventure with Confidence®.
Since its inception, Stabicraft® has been at war with the status quo – one-upping the industry standard at every turn. This pursuit for constant improvement has resulted in four generations of chambered hull designs, each demonstrating a dramatic evolution in performance and useability.
“If you build something the way it’s always been done, the chances are it can be done better. We want to be the best. In some cases, this is about tweaking the wheel to make it faster, safer, more efficient. In some cases, it’s about reinventing the wheel. And in other cases it’s about asking – do we even need the wheel?”
PAUL ADAMS – STABICRAFT FOUNDER
WHY STABICRAFT?
STABICRAFT ARE INNOVATION FUELED MARKET LEADERS.
This ethos has driven Stabicraft® to be a true market leader, with each innovation setting the new industry standard in its class. The focus on function has crafted the distinct Stabicraft® design style known today – sharp, defiant lines that scream adventure. While by no means conventional, the style is certainly unique, aggressive, and tough.
UNPARALLELED STABILITY
Unparalleled stability is built into the Stabicraft® name and engineered into every boat with the unique Aluminium Positive Buoyancy Chambers. The chambers significantly reduce both the ‘tippy’ feeling of weight moving around, and the ‘rocking’ feeling when at rest in open water. No matter which Stabicraft® you choose, you gain the comfort, safety and stability of a much larger vessel.
SUPERIOR OFFSHORE PERFORMANCE
Stabicraft® boats are engineered to thrive in big water and dominate in a following sea. The Aluminium Positive Buoyancy Chambers prevent the boat from sliding during cornering and stop the boat from broaching when pushed by waves. It’s like “driving on rails.”
BUILT TO LAST
Stabicraft® boats are built to last in the world’s harshest environments. They’ve been engineered for toughness with a rigid aluminium life ring, high-quality marine grade aluminium and rigorous weld quality. These unwavering characteristics have earnt the brand the reputation as the ultimate 4×4 of the ocean. It can handle anything.
Whether tackling some of New Zealand’s notorious bar crossings, harsh Aussie sun, or venturing into the rugged isolation of Alaska, you want the confidence of a Stabicraft®. They’re built to last.
DEDICATION TO PRACTICAL DESIGN
The Stabicraft® product development team are continuously questioning how people use their boats and looking for ways in which things can be done better, smarter, and safer.
This emphasis on user-centric design leads to constant ergonomic improvements in each new Stabicraft® model and a fleet so simple, it feels like it could not be imagined any other way. From bow to stern, Stabicraft® surpass the competition in usability, ergonomics and manageability.
ULTIMATE ALL-ROUNDER
Stabicraft® is the ultimate all-rounder. With all the class-leading attributes of a boat that can handle itself under pressure, Stabicraft® is uniquely positioned with its distinct design style, superior onboard safety, and spacious creature comforts.
Stabicraft’s commitment to developing packages to suit different boating types positions them as a market leader. You don’t have to choose between a boat for fishing or family cruising. Stabicrafts are built to do it all with confidence. A boat that is truly made to be used.
LIFE RING PROTECTION
Stabicraft’s individually sealed Aluminium Positive Buoyancy Chambers act as a life ring for your boat. This gives your Stabicraft® positive buoyancy, allowing the boat to stay level and afloat when filled with water.
Extra toughness and durability are built into the spine of the boat with the chambers internal hull bracing. Plus, the chambers reverse chine means the hull has considerably less roll from side to side while at rest, so you won’t spill your drink when everyone dashes to one side the boat. This unparalleled stability gives you more comfort, and less overall fatigue after a day out.
Engineered and designed over four generations of Stabicraft®, the life ring provides stability, safety, and the flexibility to use your boat like never before, and underpins our owner’s ability to Adventure with Confidence®.
STABIMAg Issue #6
This issue marks six years of STABIMAG publications, and boy oh boy it’s a biggun. We travel to south-eastern Queensland and catch GTs and spotted mackerel with YouTube star, Rokkit Kit. Then we go back across the ditch to cast soft baits with another big name, Matt Watson, aboard the new 1850 Supercab, no less. We drop in at the new Stabicraft factory in Port Angles, Washington and take the new 2250 Ultracab Alpha for a spin — our first boat built in the USA. The crew from The Captain then take us on a Stabi tour of California, Oregon and Alaska — yeehaw!
This issue also features some all-new, mouth-watering models, hot new products to bolt to your Stabi, and much more.
